Maybe someone else on a 10MB Home Premium Uncapped package can help me out here.

Every evening my line speed drops. Youtube struggles to load 1080p videos and Netflix sometimes doesn't even work.

Speedtest shows download speeds between 5 - 6.5 Mbps. Fast.com shows 150 Kbps. This is in the evenings. Come morning time and both Speedtest and Fast.com are at 9.72Mbps consistently. Netflix at 1080p and youtube at 1080p.

This definitely feels like shaping/throttling even though port resets and power cycles have been done.

Have you tried a test account from another ISP? This sounds like exchange congestion.

I've been getting the same, but I'm on 10 Mbps Home Basic Uncapped. Maybe a good answer from CW regarding the shaping times. It definitely feels like shaping / throttling kicks in at a certain time. I've got a capped accounts at another ISP as a backup, if I switch to that account, line flies and no problems.

I have the exact same problem on a 4mb premium account, in the morning and afternoon I get full speed but at night the max speed I get is 100kb/s. I have spoken to support and they suggested a port reset, Also get full speed on speed test's and power cycle's dont help.

Thought it could be congestion but on any trial account I try I get full speed.

Hi guys,

I'm on this one. It shouldn't be the case, but it's something I'll need to unpack on my end seeing as there are a few reports of it. Busy with the analysis at the moment to determine where this may be happening so we can get it fixed up if it resides on-net.

Still waiting for replies to our conversation from April.

OK I've spotted the issue and we've implemented a fix cycle for this. Will require some work on our end.

I've updated the network notices to indicate as such and am busy with the guys to sort it out. It's a fault on our end for sure - no need to start investigating your routers and DSL line.

Network notices have been updated so for updates in real-time on this progress please subscribe to them by clicking live chat and extra info, and following through to our network notices page where you can subscribe to us by SMS and email for updates.

I should be able to get this pushed through quicker but we're being a bit conservative with the fix to allow us time to test and deploy...

I experience the same issue on my 4Mbps home premium uncapped between 4pm and 9pm'ish. My nntp is between 80 and 100KBps. I was thinking it could be prioritization of Gaming and Screaming(:D). - It is annoying but then again, it gives me something to download between 12am and 6am:D.

Just leaving this here...

Netflix loves Crystal Web :D

On a 30Mbps fiber line with Vox.. I am downloading at 5mb/s from the news server... absolutely awesome! I guess this is because the news server is hosted there?

Edit: actually on 50mbps now...
