OR it was, again, IndigoVision that still retained some CW data on their servers and they failed - after being told - to securely salt and hash the data.

According to the notice from CWM, this is the case. The data was retained for the purposes of the forensic investigations, and they failed to secure it.

It could actually just have been a "backup" on a spreadsheet.
Employee that used to work there, is releasing the details.

Just speculation of course...

I do not know if we will ever hear the truth.
I have a feeling that Crystal Web is not telling us the whole truth.

Still a customer though.

Of course they aren't. The investigation is still on-going.

I assume you are talking about Podio?

The last communication received via that was 9:31am on Monday (regarding the line upgrade).

The last communication received about the line fault via Podio was on 12/09, indicating that the fault had been escalated. I've received no communication since then.

So a week after applying and still no news regarding my upgrade. Contact with support continues to yield the same answer: "Telkom are busy with it".

Is there someone at CW that has the ability to follow up to ascertain what the actual hold up is on Telkom/Openserve's side? I'd like to change my package as of the 1st Oct in line with new deals, but it seems that won't be possible at this rate.

Question about the FRITZ!Box
I have a FRITZ!Box 7360, will CW be willing to give me the customized firmware ?
And if its the CW firmware, what control do I have over my home network side ?

I suppose somebody on live chat support would be able to follow up for you.

Like I said, I keep getting the "Telkom are busy with it" line...which is understandable from your average support person who hasn't been tasked to follow up things with those performing the work, but as CW stated earlier someone over there does in fact follow these things up. I simply like to be directed to them rather than moaning at poor support folk ;)

Well that's disappointing... That's why DJ being here was useful - he would make sure these things get followed up on.

Official Crystal Web ADSL performance feedback thread Part 3...

For a long moment I thought it was this Indigovision and had a good lol.

https://www.indigovision.com/en-us/

Turns out it's not.

But looking at the correct one I now desperately don't want to use any of those companies in the list...

http://indigovision.co.za/

I does maybe explain why Alexander Forbes has always pissed me off with their shocking lack of existing/working digital services.

Off topic...

Alexander Forbes has this policy called clean desk. No papers strewn about. I would be fired on day one.

I guess now everyone is trying to look at http://indigovision.co.za/.

All I get is:

The connection has timed out

For privacy and security or for cleanliness.

We had similar rules before but only in place when there were arranged visitors.

If they went more digital they wouldn't need so much paper...

Yeah, hopefully things don't go the way of Openweb when Keoma decided to pull back from day-to-day operations. Of course I'm not saying that is why OW lost support (we all know why) or that DJ had a choice in the matter in this case, but even before OW's ultimate decline there was a marked difference in service between when Keoma had a forum presence and when he left operational stuff to his official reps on here.
