Crystalweb release all their customer login names

It seems that Crystalweb isn't satisfied with 3rd parties releasing details of their customers, they have gotten into the act themselves.

Every morning, they send each customer the amount of data consumed and their login name.
Today I see I've received a report of EVERY customer of theirs login name and data used.

I assume that every customer has received the same list.

Way to go guys !

Pure genius !

Yeh, now I can take this information... read it while I'm on the crapper... and then... then... do nothing.

So I just upgraded my line from 4mb to 20mb, But am stuck on the 4mb premium account because CW will only let me change to the capped account next month :(

That sounds wrong - they let me change middle of the month in the past.

Suggest you mail support - sometimes they have more options than the live guys.

Well, speaking of security boo boos...

This morning I received a rather large email directly from Crystal Web containing the usernames and data usage of, I presume, all their capped customers.

I suppose I'm not the only one who received that email.

Edit: It seems it only contains the user accounts that are alphabetically before my username, but that's still a 4 digit amount of accounts.

So aside from the ridiculous usage email this morning. Any way we can check how much we have actually used of our cap. Starting to get worried that the 12-6 free data isn't kicking in and I'm going to hit my cap without warning.

I am not keen to do live chat for something as simple as a usage check.

Seems like a simple coding problem. The code that separates everyone in the database is not robust enough and something caused it to not cut off at the right point

You are right, I'm also the last one in the mail.

I got the same email - my username and everyone alphabetically before me.............. Pure genius

So, with this leak of usernames, I actually noticed what the difference between the first leak of usernames/passwords and the second leak was. The second leak only contained crystalpremium.co.za ADSL accounts. I noticed because today's email, for me at least, only contains crystalpremium.co.za accounts as well.

Based on my placement in the previous two leaks, I'd say that today's (crystalpremium.co.za) leak contains about 1860 usernames in total. Of those only 8% have a cap specified, and 62% of those that have caps specified have a cap of 1GB. My own account doesn't display a cap now, despite my account being capped.

I'm guessing that you guys on uncapped don't receive usage emails, seeing as today's leak is less than half the size of the first two leaks. The first leak contained 4596 crystalpremium.co.za accounts, the second leak contained 4170 crystalpremium.co.za accounts and today's leak only contains about 1860 crystalpremium.co.za accounts.

We do receive usage emails ... mine didn't show anything funky though

You mean that you got a usage email, but it just contained your own info, and only your own info?

If so, then I (still) guess that today's leak only contains capped accounts.
