Really getting annoyed with CW ... ... They keep telling me that there is no issue on the network but I am severely limited on all streaming services (to half my line speed) ...

The second I change to capped it runs like a dream and that is even if I use CW capped ... ... How does that even work ?

Is there anyway to get a hold of IS and see if it's something on their side since Telkom already looked into my line and said it was fine (had 2 technicians come out, 1 checked the exchange and the other mounted a new box on the poll outside and ran all new cables)

Ask support to reprovision your uncapped account?

I will ask them in those specific words, but when I ask them if there is anything they can try on their side they tell me no.

:::EDIT:::

CW says they reprovisioned me last month and it never solved the problem ... Now they suggest that new capped/uncapped thing

Anyone had issues with that ?

I'm getting a little concerned with all the issues people are raising on the forum. The problem is...who do we jump ship to, if need be? I was happy paying more for superior network quality and support. Is there another option?

The SNR on the forum is very very very low.
There's only a few people raising issues...?

I'm a fanboi as much as the next guy but no one can be blind to more and more issues cropping up since the breach. Lesser companies in our eyes get crucified for it, CW should not be where it is now at all. Levels have dropped, non existent problems are cropping up .... it needs to be nipped in the bud.

I agree. Keeping a close watch to developments myself.

It's increased ten-fold compared to what it was a few months ago, this is the problem. It's clear what the current trajectory is.

Personally I haven't had much issues on their side, although there seems to be a lot of jitter on my pings, which I need to investigate further to confirm - was gonna do it last night, but never got there due to lack of electricity.

Til a few months ago, I was willing to vouch for CW come hell or high water, but currently I am afraid to do that because of issues being reported here.

Only takes a handful of voices to continuously complain which creates a cloudy atmosphere that may suck in other users who dont have any issues. This is probably why they stopped communicating here, because 10 pages of the same people complaining about the same stuff, where CW may not even be responsible is going to look bad regardless.

Touch wood, my service is perfect, no complaints, no need for a portal, full line speed and news server is grafting. I cannot complain if you asked me to.

That said, the issues mentioned by a few people, looks very similar to the same problems WA had when they tried to change all their IS profiles. This move was shocking and why I ultimately left them.

Same here, except I'm one of those experiencing issues since the "announcements". In a month and a half, Crystal Web still haven't managed to figure out which product I'm on. On the bright side, it's been a couple of days since I've last noticed the annoying Internet Solutions packet loss problems they were struggling hard to fix.

2 months ago? Yeah, I'd have recommended Crystal Web. Now? I won't.

Ok. Update on my billing issues.

KC@CW contacted me today and solved all my issues and a refund was done.
Thnx KC if you do get feedback from MyBB

The XTTH landing page is live now. People can start registering for interest in their areas!

http://www.crystalweb.co.za/xtremetthinfo.php

My only issue is that there's not enough information about the actual service. Nothing about the upload speeds, which would be one of the motivations to move away from DSL, and nothing about how many other people have signed up in your area.

I've signed up. Good point about the upload speeds - I'll ask on the chatline

Noticed this in the confirmation email for XTTH signup:
"We only require 10 people in your proximity (roughly 2 square kilometres) to sign up to be feasible"

I've registered for XtremeTTH.

Does anyone know how to sign up as the "champion" for your area?
