Play on it if you don't mind. Curious to see if you get the same kind of experience as me. Assuming you are CW? What package you on?

Out of SA for a month - when I get back I'll definitely play on it. In the mean time I'm just interested in the performance others experience.

Anybody struggling with extremely slow speeds?

I'm in the Eastern Cape area.

Been struggling since about 11 yesterday to download a game on PS4. The initial download is 15 GB and it has only done 5GB.

I haven't used the Live chat function yet, as I don't think it is ISP's specific.

If I stop the download and restart it, it will download for 10 minutes or so and then start slowing down until it basically stops.
It then displays that it will take 99+ hours to download.

Have switched off router and rebooted several times. Most of the time speedtests shows normal or maybe a 1Mvps slower.
It is on a premium uncapped account, but results are similar with capped accounts from ISP's.

No serious activity on the rest of my network.

Found it: 108.61.114.8

Could everyone run a traceroute to it and post?

Makes sense based on distance, and in line with what has been said here. Does not make sense that the game is so incredibly smooth - better than playing on local servers!!

Now to figure out what the actual in game ping represents. Why show it, if not for some kind of end user diagnostic...

Also - what value does the scoreboard give you for ping? Could you screenshot it?

That one is in line with the tracert. Always confused me why the server list shows a much higher ping than in game. But - never paid much attention to it.
Local servers show a server list ping of around 50ms. But in game it's like 20. Dunno...

Server list: single ping probe
Server scoreboard: average ping over one minute*

This is standard PS4 fare.

Put it in Rest Mode. Then it download full speed.
