Only issue with crystal Web is the portal. I took the R 1 deal to try crystal Web since they've got a lot of good reviews. Approx for 2 nights there were some issues and that outage in KZN otherwise all excellent.

Love that they use snapscan instead of keeping your card info. Their packages are not too bad either. Hope they offer an app as well so it's more convenient to check balances, etc.

Hi

I am thinking of getting Premium Uncapped 40Mbps FTTH from you, what is my fair usage limit, as I have been with Afrihost and downloaded 3TB in a month without getting throttled or shaped?

MoRRaZ505, if you decide to sign up with Crystal Web, please use my referral code: 513684969.:D

Anybody else play WoW and been having bad lag? Most of the time the latency stays fine, yet the game has freezes where it seems no data is coming through. It's quite hellish in raids :( I have to resort to an Afrihost account to raid, eww :(
My friends on Webafrica have the same problem, so it seems like an IS thing.

I haven't experienced anything as of yet.

Last night was the first time it happened to me, but one of my guild mates who recently signed back up with CW has been having this issue for a while already. I think this is one of those things that will be impossible to reproduce and near impossible to fix :( I'll see what live chat says.

Hmm.

They need to look at routing game traffic.

Was getting over 150ms ping to BF1 servers in JHB. Fired up a test account from AH and got 33ms.

Something there is fishy.

Will see if it improves.

Webafrica seems to have the same issue. Could be IS related.

On another note. When I signed up many moons ago I went for the 150GB SMME package for R299 a month. The old business capped. End of Jan I hopped onto live chat had it upgraded to 250GB, for an additional R100.

This month I ran out of bandwidth again and have noticed I'm back on the 150GB package. Tried to upgrade again via live chat and was told that the next tier is 350GB for R699.

Is anyone else still on the 250GB SMME package?

bf1 is a new peer at napafrica; not currently peering with IS.

it is being attended to by IS' peering team.

It turns out the live chat agent who sorted out my fibre application was 'confused' about the price he offered me, and Crystal Web won't honour it. :(

Precisely because it was a good price, I confirmed three times whether or not it was correct. After checking the chat logs, I was offered the price quoted for the first 2 months.

While I'm disappointed, I'm also not unreasonable. It looks like a third resolution is in the works which is a fairer compromise for both parties. Eh well. These things happen.

Oh dear.
