Just streamed the whole one guy called with 8/4 part and its 100% at source.

In bed though...

Thanks for testing. I'll have to compare performance on mobile then. You streaming via browser or the app? Android or iOS?

How did the billing work for you? Ive received my invoice already. If i move my line into the holding pool now, and it doesnt get moved quickish, then is there a possibility of being billed by Telkom and the new ISP?

Simply pro rated.

At both ends.

Anyone getting a ton of incompletes on the latest downloads using the premium server?

Can someone with fiber optic please post a speedtest to London. Would like to c the ping to Europe.

*fibre

I'm not at my PC atm, but I'd be happy to trace route a particular server if you know of one. A single speed test won't tell you that much. Better to use specific gaming or streaming servers.

Looks like I'll have to jump on with support again when I get a chance, KZN ping being a shyte once more ..... It is doing the same on WA though so it's an IS thing.

Bryn, can you do a ping/tracert to the PC EU elder scrolls online server using your fibre connection. IP is 195.122.154.1

I'm getting around 240ms and up in game. Would like to compare my VDSL to fibre.

Thanks dude

Been getting it for months as well, was told by CW support it's my exchange and Telkom told me it is IS. Never been fixed.

I had to resort to AH for gaming as nobody seemed interested in fixing the problem and I basically just had enough.

Can you run a traceroute to this server and post it here too? Curious to see where the high latency is introduced.

Just a question regarding sync rates...

Had a disagreement with Support Warrior from CW on live chat.

I went from:
- Service: 4Mb/s
- Line Sync Speed: 5Mb/s (just above)

To:
- Service: 8Mb/s
- Line Sync Speed: 8Mb/s

So I asked him why I'm not syncing at 10Mb/s now, because in reality I'm only getting 230KB/s more download speed than with supposedly half the speed - from 490 to 720, which is in reality less than 6Mb/s.

Now, I know this was normal behaviour until like a year ago, but then sync rates got upped in order for us to get our real speeds which we are paying for.

Support Warrior says that, if I want it to sync at 10, I need to pay for a 10Mb/s line. Has anyone experienced this?

When I asked this person why I was getting 5 whilst only paying for for, he said it's because they don't have a 4Mb/s service.

So, in short, are all of you on 8Mb/s indeed syncing at 8 only, or are you on 10? If I'm wrong then I'll leave it, but I don't believe that I am.

Thanks.

I think the difference there is if interleave has been enabled. Does the 8 Mbps have interleave?

What ARE you paying for?

My gut feel is that as they are priced differently Openserve won't let ASSIA sync at greater than 8Mbps otherwise why pay more for 10Mbps if your line is capable of syncing at 15Mbps?
