Do you own or use a printer?

I own one. Mainly use it for scanning docs and every once in a while printing.

I got a HP cp2025
The frigging cartridges, 4 of them, are about R6250
Need it for personal and business.
I "inherited" it.

Do you own a printer and use it at home, or do you have a printer at work which is used regularly?

With services and products moving online, does the printer still have a place in the modern office?

Yes and yes. HP colour Laser. Used regularly. With the built in scanner it is also used as a copier. The FAX is seldom used to receive, but often used for sending.

No.

Work has 6 industrial xerox though so if I do need to print something I use those. Rarely happens though & don't like doing so cause like everything at work it gets monitored

I do because buying stuff still requires you to sign and email documents

All the time. Two lasers, replacing toner every three months for past 17 years.

Multifunction black laser, and an epson tank jobby inkjet for colour. Used every day.

the print, sign, scan, send back stuff sometimes makes life hell without one.

Tried that, FNB refused to accept it.

My only reason for having an AIO printer. Use it every few months.

Work monitors printing closely, so don't bother printing/scanning private stuff at work. Only use it to print reports for management (the older generation), whereas the newer generation managers use their notebooks / tablets. So we are very much generational driven at work.

Yes, have an Epson Multifunction at home that is used regularly. :)

At the office everything are printed on bizhub's.

I have one. It's in the box since moving almost a year ago - makes a lovely ottoman under the desk.

Used it maybe twice. Only got it to be able to print documents for things like car license renewals, proof of residence etc.

Far easier to download an app to sign digitally, or use those Photoshop skills.

I hate printers but for "home office" use i do have to print once a week or so. For the print/sign/scan stuff I've been using Foxit for years. Loaded a few variations of initials and full signature on there. You can eventually do the same in Adobe too now but I prefer Foxit.

I use a cheap Xerox phaser laser printer for Unisa. Great value for money.

Running my one man business from home, I have 2 Printers A second hand Mono Laser All in One which I use regularly. And a Colour Inkjet All In One, which is now used purely as a scanner. The inks are just too ridiculously expensive. Since my kids have graduated and are now working the need for colour for projects etc has gone, and I manage without for my work.
I don't think I could manage without a mono laser / scanner / copier.
My methodology for buying Printers. Go to Cartridge shop and investigate the most cost effective cartridges, then buy a printer to fit the cartridge. You will be spending many times the cost of the printer on cartridges.

Canon LBP5050 colour laser. I buy the refilled toner from Consumables in Basson Street in Maitland. I also use KMP in Capricorn Park. The price is about 1/3 that of a Canon toner and works 100%
