Do you own or use a printer?

I have one but never print. Only use the scanner function. Print loads at the office though, work related shens...

Work from home so only one printer - laser B&W which is used rarely but still sometime essential since life still exists off-line. Worth its weight in printer ink, well maybe I exaggerate since ink is so expensive. Advantage is laser cartridges don't dry out if not used often.

Toner never dries out.. longest record I have is 11 years. The newer Gel-jet tech also resists drying out pretty well.

I don't own or use printers myself. In fact, I'm have always been for the paperless office, even while I was working for Xerox as a printer technician.

There are dozens of printers in the office however, which I have no need to use. The rest of the staff uses them extensively and there is panic if there is a printing outage.

I do own a printer at home, only use it for scanning purposes. Use printer at work for printing.

Yup. Need it, our work environment still does a lot of printing. Work printers are Ricoh (Nashua) MFPs

At home too, I am involved in a youth organisation and other local charities.

Mono: Samsung multifunction
Colour: Brother colour laser printer

Have a Canon inkjet that does brilliant photo prints, but have stopped using it due to ink cost.

Own one, use it couple times a month, Kid's school stuff, recipes, how-to guides.

Yes. HP Deskjet F2483. Scans and copies, which is handy. Works well but the cartridges are insanely expensive.

So, don't you guys ever print your bank statements or anything? How do you keep track of bills, etc?

I do - probably used more for scanning, though. Wife prints something once in a while. It came in really handy around the time we were buying a house and a car about 4 years ago.

I have a printer/scanner/photocopier and use all functions extensively. It's an HP OfficeJet Pro.

I do, but I use it to scan more than print. SA desperately needs a means of digitally signing documents, as that is the only real reason I use my printer. Print, sign, scan, email. I'm working on on just adding a signature image, and that makes this whole scene absurd where scanned copies are accepted as signed documents.

I use printing minimally, read most of my content on the laptop/tablet, the wife however needs to print for university, so we have own a brother printer at home

Samsung W410, Replaced all toner cartridges with generics at R1.8k. so far happy with the performance and quality of the generics.

My printers

Do you own a printer and use it at home, or do you have a printer at work which is used regularly?

With services and products moving online, does the printer still have a place in the modern office?

I use an HP1515 ink advantage and an Epson 300++ Dot Matrix which I only used +_ 10 times,
but no longer use it. Any offers????
