DDNS from no-ip.org expires so every 30 days you have to renew.

Now If my IP stays the same......then I can use real DNS servers

Use a Mikrotik router. They have a built in DDNS function that's free to use and works like a bomb. Link that as a CNAME to a subdomain on your DNS service and voila.

Got Fibre last week, IPis still the same.
Anyone else have the same experience?

If it's vumatel trenched, then yes, your IP is pretty sticky. Not static, just really long DHCP leases. Will wait and see if it stays that way after they fix this slow DHCP allocation issue.

Fiber IP's are static.

You can request to have your IP changed but if all things remain the same you will keep your IP address for the duration of your fibre agreement.

Nope, they are dynamic. There's nothing stoping them from being changed. Vumatel's DHCP system has a minimum lease period of 7 days. And the DHCP server is pretty sticky. You can choose to set a static IP on the system - which will then ensure it stays the same. But there's a big difference between sticky IP allocations and actual static addresses.

Not sure on Vuma but other open access networks/ISPs can have dynamic or static on FTTH or FTTB. It just depends how the ISP structures or wants to tier their product.

A quick summary of IP allocation strategies for fibre:
- Vumatel trenched: IP Allocated by Vumatel system, sticky allocations, Static Option available)
- Other FTTH providers, Vumatel Aerial: IP allocated by PPPoE, usually dynamic, depending on ISP static available
- Openserve: PPPoE and static available on request from ISP
- FTTB: Usually 1 VLAN per client, so ISP can allocate IPoE, DHCP, PPPoE and Static or Dynamic
