iPhone 14 discussions

Good to know, I was afraid they would send it via PO. What courier do they use? And do they take care of all the import duties and the like?
Can't recall what courier. No import stuff has ever been thrown at me. Literally just rocks up at the gate.

iPhone 14 satellite SOS feature has been used in two rescues so far this month. Looks like it works as advertised.

Too bad we will probably never see it here in SA

Yeah, who are they gonna phone, 10111?

Honestly I just want it to be able to share your location on Find My via satellite. But bleh, what's the chance that they'll half implement it here? Absolutely 0%, we don't even have visual lookup for photos yet.

My Dbrand Grip case and screen protector arrived today. Such an improvement to my case situation. The case has evolved slightly since the 14PM one I had. This one has edges much closer in height to that of the display. It feels great.

I had this Moov screen protector on previously:

The Dbrand one is a remarkable improvement. Firstly, I'm convinced I have more screen real estate. That stupid Moov thing must have been slightly covering up the edges of the screen. But more importantly, the optical clarity Dbrand boasts about is no joke. There's something kinda mesmerising about my phone's display and that's the only explanation I can think of. I guess the Moov protector was impairing the display quality or lumens or whatever.

Oh, and thirdly, it feels so much better to touch. Closer to not having a screen protector.

So iPhones can only be dual sim if you have one physical and one (or more) e-sim... from an affordability point of view, I suppose it depends on your budget but iPhone SE2 and 3 support e-sim and are considered to be Apple's budget line. Alternatively get an older iPhone, anything from iPhone XR \ XS and up supports e-sim.

Or get one from China.

Personally the whole dual sim thing seems utterly pointless to me.

There is so very little to gain. Cheap data is almost always **** data and do you really need it that much?

I buy 2GB a month and almost never finish it.

You're very lucky. I use a **** tonne of data. I use my phone for whatever, wherever I am. My 13 is sitting on 309gb since getting it roughly a year ago...

Sure but does dual sim really make any meaningful difference?

To your actual pocket I mean?
