Geekbench deals with synthetics. In real world 4S was much faster than S2, and then 4S got trounced on by S3. In real world I'm guessing the A6 will also be monstrously fast. We haven't even seen GPU numbers yet.
 
So it is fine to post synthetic benchmarks to show that the iPhone 5 is faster than the SIII but when the 4S gets it's ass handed to it by the SII then we revert to "real world"?

We don't have real world benchmarks for iPhone5, just some videos of some seriously impressed journalists. If sgs3 turns out to be faster in real-world usage, which is after all the primary thing, we can talk again. My guess is the gap will widen further though.

See comment above. When we have real-world benchmarks we can compare them. I reckon there will be an even more pronounced difference, as those extra two cores prove superfluous in practical usage.

Why I've said somewhere on this forum that it doesn't mean much to compare stuff like this between two different hardware platforms running completely different OS's.

Where they get that SIII score... from the Geekbench site, SIII is faster...

OK, looking at the benchmark posts above it seems that A6/iOS6 is the same speed as S3/ics.

But Jelly Bean is said to be much faster than ics - what then ?
