Anyone have R39999 to spare for me atm? :p

Dion wired have the 55" LG LED TV on sale (55LX9500).
 
Guys, I am looking to purchase a Samsung Plasma 50 inch HD Ready unit @ Game, Makro, Tafelberg, HiFi Corp as soon as possible. The recommended models are :
PS50C430 - R8,000 - R8,500
PS50C450 - R8,500 - R9,000
I reside in Stellenbosch. None of the above catalogs indicate these. Let me know on any great deals.

Cats Digital had the C450 on special until today I believe for R8500. :/
 
Much as ppl might scoff at this one.

Makro currently have the 46" Sinotech LED-LCD on special for R9999

Game/Makro definitely do the C430s.

For the C450s you normally have to look around a bit.

paid that for my sammy 46" lcd... Sinotech ain't that bad from what I've read.. But I'd still go sammy though :)
 
Have my Samsung PS50C430 four days now & no complaints so far.
My mede8ter loves it & so do i. Havent tested the xbox out yet, been to busy watching series & movies.
 
Cats Digital had the C450 on special until today I believe for R8500. Sorry to ask the question on this post (and I will google tom) but where is Cats Digital situated in Western Cape, Northern Suburbs.

It's in Jo'burg unfortunately.
 
Sooo, I had time to do a cross check and shops resides in Johannesburg. None in Cape Town.

My bad all, Seems there was nothing wrong with my Sammy :o
It was the 'just over 2 yr old' DTSV decoder power supply :mad:

Atleast it cost R500 to replace and not a new TV :D
 
I had Cats send my 46" sammy down to Cape Town.
Altho I insured it, I was still apprehensive, and went to fetch it at the courier, so as to cut another leg out of its journey.
But I need not have worried. Arrived in perfect condition, well labelled by Bash, the agent at Cats. Price of courier seemed a bit steep, but all in all, I am delighted.

HD PVR, the old one? If this is the case then I'd complain, as the powersupply issue is a known problem an multichoice here in Johannesburg swaps them out for free. I had mine doing really odd things at one stage, until it just wouldn't even turn on.
