I agree. Except on a track (controlled environment) where it can actually be a hinderencePersonal opinion - I think people who switch off ESP are morons. I have no intention of damaging my car, just want to have a bit of fun.

That said, these systems vary greatly between vehicles.
Agreed.
The stability control on the Jaguar XF is pretty conservative, which is probably why they include a "Track DSC" mode. When you do a quick press of the DSC button, it enables track mode. Press and hold for about 20 seconds, and it disables DSC completely. They even have a table in the manual listing different scenarios where you would use the different stages of DSC (on, track, completely off).

OK, my bad, not everybody. Let's meet halfway on every Mustang driver leaving cars and coffee. That's ok if you know YOUR limitations don't switch it off since maybe you don't have the skill of somebody else.
However calling everybody who switches it off morons is as much a prime example of the Dunning-Kruger effect as the actual morons who turn it off and then damage their vehicles.
Generalizations is definitely the issue but I get his point. That's ok if you know YOUR limitations don't switch it off since maybe you don't have the skill of somebody else.

As stated here. There's just too many people who think they can drive on the limit properly. Like those who say "ReAl DrIvErS UsE mAnUel" but don't know how to heal or toe and understand balancing a car using its powertrainOK, my bad, not everybody. I absolutely despise automatic gearboxes, owning, operating or repairing them.
If you're too lazy to shift gears, sell your car and take a taxi / uber
