Unable to do any online gaming at this moment because of bad latency ...... here's results for a Wage server and an iGame server:

They are usually 50 odd for Wage and 30 odd for iGame.

Jip there is some proof. think a hardware was busy failing

And now it's even worse ....... ffs

If it's not broken never fix it. you can still game on high latency but I know it's unbearable but MWEB will only fix it once the hardware crash...lol. I have been struggling the whole week and so have my Clan buddies and other friends on steam. You know what is the worst. MWeb doesn't care cause they are the only provider for Black ops and they can just say "well we don't care about the community if you want to play black ops you must accept the lag" They have control and they are getting their money so they have the monopoly here.

Another funny thing is can they change the music cause I'm getting tired of it. Been hearing all of them like 20 times lol

Hi - I am looking for a little help. I am moving to SA from the UK next month and am in the process of checking out all the things I'll need to sort out - one of them being broadband.

So I was just wanting some advice on the best package. I have looked on a few websites and the Mweb Uncapped seems the cheapest but obviously not if it doesn't work to the speeds it says it should. I mostly use the internet for web browsing and p2p downloading - in the UK I have quite a high download rate (168GB last month).

I know all this is probably mentioned in this thread somewhere but with 600 pages I thought I would just ask fresh.

Do you consider Mweb to be the best bang for your buck? If not what would you suggest is the best package?

Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Tim

Morning MyWorld

When you say you struggle to get a good connection; what is being affected. Please DM me more detail as to the problem you are encoutering.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy
One day I get full speed, 400K/s, the for a day or two it drops to below 50K/s, then it "fixes itself" then it drops again. It has been like this for more than a month.

Today the speed seems fine, but yesterday it was terrible again.

don't go with mweb they are total crap. Rather get a capped service and download with that. you don't need to download 168GB a month. Mweb service is degrading rapidly.

I'm starting to get a bit ticked off. Their shaping policies make no sense.

This morning, I got full line speed on a torrent, but 50KB/s on a normal HTTP download. Now I'm getting <10KB/s on torrents, and still no more than 50KB/s on HTTP downloads.

Youtube and anything streaming is slower than a 384k line.

The problem is DEFINITELY M-web as other accounts perform better.

I wonder why MWebGuy is ignoring your complaints? You know, you can always choose another ISP if you feel that your customer needs are not being met.

Hey MWebGuy,

does MWeb have any plans to drop their prices on the 4mb uncapped? Noticed Openweb and Afrihost is cheaper...and i'm starting to lean that way.

yep that 50% is nasty :p

afrihost send a guy on forum with estimates, its about 1.5gb per day for 4mb package. over that you fall into the 50%.

Hey mweb,

Any idea why I keep getting a domain unregistered from image shack images? Even if I go directly to image shack itself.

An example is this link -> http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/6108/setup3.png

*EDIT* ok lol thats wierd, if I open it from mybb it opens but if I take it into a new ie window and copy the link I get the domain not registered.

YouTube a wee bit slow and newsserver going at about half line speed. Newsserver speeds bugs me not at all coz at least it's going, lol, but the YouTube being slow is a bit of a pain. Anything up?
