Funny. My de-prioritized torrents ran at 120kB/s this morning, while my prioritized websites was timing out, with a HTTP download running at 20kB/s :P

Anyways, hope SEACOM comes back online before I get back from work.

speculating , from the facebook status of mweb :)

atm seems, there something in it for the capped product , maybe they get more cap they sed 3gb and more.

have to see and wait :)

The service has been restored. SEACOM has failed over to restoration capacity in Egypt and this is likely to remain stable during the restoration of the fibre break.

Sometimes the scheduled maintenance slots are also moved due to a dependence on external factors, such as the availability of 3rd party engineers, or resources, or the completion of other changes.

Whenever we feel that there is a potential customer impact due to the work being carried out we will do our best to make sure that you're warned ahead of time.

The uncapped hosting provides what platform? It mentions MySQL and SQL ( express I'm assuming for the free ones ) but what platform is available ( .Net , PHP etc)?

Hi Kosmik

We provide both platforms, Unix and Micorsoft.

If you want to sign up and require the Microsoft platform, please inform the Sales consultant that you are interested in the Microsoft platform, and vice versa for the Unix platform. Bear in mind that if you require a MS SQL database, there is a extra charge of R59 for 500MB.

Ok - what just happend in CT - everyones DSL died for 10-15 mins. Seems to be up again.
Looked like a telkom problem - line was up but couldnt connect with a telkom/mweb/gconnect account. I know of a few people who all experienced the outtage.

yeah I had this problem in johannesburg - same time, about 10-15 minutes @ 22:20 or so
 
mweb has been running awesomely this year, shaping has been fair, browsing ALLWAYS fast and pings constant, keep it up.
