you will get used to gearing down when you are approaching a stop or robot. take a little bit more riding in built-up areas rather than on the freeway, but it is good practice for when you get onto the freeway and have to do the gearing up and down in traffic

That's like getting a car with an autobox. Do that, by all means, but learn to work a manual (and get a license for one) first.

oh yes of course....!
the auto is great for crusing in traffic, but it's got manual controls for when you quickly need to shift down passing slow car.

I think it's more that there have been no automatic bikes in the past, except low-capacity scooters?

My bike is almost due for its 1000km service. Any recommendations for full synthetic oil? This is my first bike that runs on full synthetic, so I'm not so sure about what to get.

The only shops in town is Midas and Autozone, so my choices will be limited.

It doesn't specify any brand and the standards they specify are not used anymore. But I guess the latest standards should do.

SF and they recommend 5W-50 which seems very difficult to get in my parts of the country.

Lol no but close. I bought the bike brand new with 10km on the clock from old stock, it's actually a 2008 model according to its VIN number.
