Centre stand is very lekker to have, but I tend to agree with Sauron ... factory option or I would be a bit nervous.
Having said that , a mate of mine who I do offroad tours with has fitted the SW Motech centre stand to his KLR and and has had no problems ... and we have ridden some pretty rough stuff

It's often not the reliability that is the concern but rather that it gets in the way.

I scrape even my OEM centrestand through corners.

And I often step on it with my left foot while riding.

Kuk man ...still on the east rhondt that izz .

P!ssing myself at your response

...but if you don't really want to ride fanie, why don't you just head down to the wimpy at east-rhondt mall ;)

o hell, and you know the NC is light on fuel right? Durban here I come! :D

He he. I suspect on a burner breakfast run it should dwindle.

It has a smallish tank though doesn't?

But to be honest a 100km there and a 100km back is a nice ride.

144km is a bit much if it's just breakfast, but make a day trip of it and it can be lekker.

yeh, tank is only 14.1km... commuting gets 4.1/100 but cruising on the high way at not burner speeds should be even less.
I'm still struggling to get the wife on the back though, she be schit scared :D

A good run is Clarens for breakfast. 200 kays won't even burn the granny carbon out of that motor :D
