My new ride

Their beer is ok, but the service in their restaurant is not. We've been there a couple of times, and it's only gotten worse over time. And they are also stupidly popular/busy- which doesn't help.

Wind blew my bike over.

At the office I was dreading the ride home in the wind and rain.
See it laying on it side, wet in the rain...

The handle bar bobby and the indicator broke. Small crack in the body where the indicator pushed in.

Popped it back in and then used insulation tape - to tape the housing to the lens.

Did you park incorrectly against an incline?

Or was this on a flat surface?

You are parking in gear right?

In first gear, flat surface, in the bike parking zone.

Side stand was down only, it was the wind purely pushing from left to right.

The bikes park under a carport and the sides are open.

I will forever use my center stand from now on.

edit: Thanks for the strongs. :o

Very strange.

I've never had a bike come even near falling over but I was worried as the RS demo was standing very upright.

Turns out the preload adjustment makes a huge difference and there may or may not have been a subtle change to the stand for the 2016 models.

My Buell always worried me as it was spring loaded and would sway in the wind. But I think that's probably a good thing as it moves with the wind.

Hope you get it sorted cheaply.

How strong was the wind that it blew this monster over? Were u parked in neutral by any chance?

Lots of pine tree branches were laying the in car parking lot.

I think the path the wind takes between the high buildings at the office caused this.

I'm also glad that my colleagues left at around 12:00 this afternoon, otherwise my bike would have started a domino effect.
