I was riding a Triumph Street Triple that was a major problem.

Now on a BMW R1200RS and it's a million miles better.

I do plan to raise the bars anyway.

I also put risers on my GS, helps a lot.

I test rode the RSA few weeks back, I thought it was fantastic, and very underrated by the riding community as a whole.
 
Well I went back to the dealer on Saturday, and everyone seemed happy with the oil stating that on engines with some mileage/age the oil does go black quickly. Dealer principal was actually the first person who came to look, and he did top it up. I just don't know enough about engines, and the nuances of an air cooled boxer to compare what I know about 'normal' car engines. Worst case scenario I've got oil in there that is about 6000km old (since I haven't been able to ride much) so it should be alright. Will strongly consider going to CT next time, or perhaps one of several ex BMW mechanics close by.
 
Nail inside the thread they said I must replace the tire.

Of course they will. It's another sale for them.
If it's not on the side-wall, no need to replace. You're not racing with it? or are you?

Normal commuting, no need to replace.

I literally had a petrol attendant tell me this morning "Safety First please" while putting my stats into Fuelly.

They honestly believe that a phone will spark the fumes while filling up.

This of course while wielding the card machine about...
