I got myself one of those spirit bluetooth helmet attachment jobbies. Quite impressed. Works nicely with the phone, and built in FM radio is a winner too.
I seem to feel more stable on the bike at low speed when there's music playing...

As an aside, going back to a bit earlier, regarding engine oil- black oil (or oil colour) isn't an indicator of the oils ability to lubricate and protect. It just means it's used- oil gets darker as as the engine works- doesn't mean it's old or ineffective.

Only way to know for sure (if you doubt the word of the dealership) is to change it yourself and make note of how quickly the colour changes as you use it (during a normal usage cycle) I would say- it will differ between engines.

Ya I'll just leave it for now and make a note to check next time I service (which will likely be at the CT branch)

So yeah. After two days in the car this week because of rain, I've decided that the extra half an hour of sleep is completely worth getting wet and facing wet roads.

/fair weather biker no more.

my mini gave me problems, so i rode the bike to the gautrain station

Rode behind my old bike on the way to work this morning. Rider was giving it decent stick :)

Good man.

One settles into it and then you can't imagine suffering the car even on the worst of days.

Sometimes feels like a *** idea half way home but once you get there it's all good.

I don't mind getting wet on the way home, but coming in to work sucks...

my easy overs keep me quite dry (xkulcha).
The jacket with liner keeps me dry as well. Just some drips down the neck..

LOL...I do 70km.

What's the problem?

it's not really a problem, i have a rain suit and all, but two things this week made me skip it...

1) the previous heavy rain trip I had was ***. go slowly around a corner, get on the gas ever so slight and could feel the back wheel sliding out... made me very nervous... and something about how the bike gears down in the wet.... with my luck it'll gear down on a white line and the torque break will just put my on my arse between cars as they start to pull away to run me over
2) i don't have much time to read, so when an opportunity like this presents itself, and I have the gautrain for convenience, why the fukk not I say... :D

1) Sounds like you need better tyres.

2) That part I could roll with. My only problem is having to get to the take off point first, then I might as well go all the way. If I could get on the MyCitiBus down here all the way to work I would.

1) don't use sport mode. I don't have any issues.
2) Audiobook + bluetooth helmet kit :p
