i just randomly felt like it was too high while standing at a robot, it sounded like i'm holing the throttle slightly open, i guess it is car experience.

it was at 1200 i dropped it to 1000, checked the manual it states 1250-1350 so i guess i'll be upping it again.

Yeah it's common to find it strange at first and most people expect 1000rpm or less due to car experience.

Yes but how is the maintenance on it

It's not that bad. I have had some work done on my bike at Harley and was pleasanlty surprise. Problem is that spares are only available from them, but to give you an example:
front pads (supplied) +- R450
rear pads (supplied, fitted and service to rear caliper) +- R700
rear rocker gasket and seals +- R1200

Bought these last week.

First two days I thought I had made a huge mistake on the sizing as they didn't have the one size up in stock and I would need to wait to just try them on.

These are fully waterproof and that's partly why it was hurting me at first as there is a waterproof lip behind the zipper which you need to tuck in and I wasn't getting quite right.

I ignored them at first as I didn't like the idea of laces on bike boots, but then when I saw up close they have a zipper on the side I realised the laces are really just there to adapt the fit and you use the zipper day to day.

Grip on the soles is much better than my race boots, but also weird as there is no heel and it's perfectly flat and very rigid on the sole.

Bit thicker which makes gear changes a little easier but at the same time my rear brake seems much too high now.

So far very happy and the best part is a 2-year warranty which I haven't seen on any other clothing items.

Okay that's enough bike stuff for this year.

Hard to fathom that a few pieces of metal cost $129. Not to mention the shipping and duties on top of that.

Those be the gayest BMW boots ever seen anywhere

Thay are only allowed to be worn in conjunction with the obligatory 2 piece BMW twat suit! Otherwise you shall be stopped & they will be ripped from your extremities! :D

So tomorrow we find out who the real bikers are in CT
Real bikers aren't stupid. I've had my scary fair share of unexpected floods and crashworthy rain but I am too old now to go and seek it out for fun
When I can put my feet up and have a hot brew
There is a member on the forum who is braver than most whose taking a bicycle because his whole Italian car is missing it's front end while it waits for an air conditioning button

scary

Ouch! Reminds me of the last time I came off. Only my thumb area was swollen like that (no scars etc) and it hurt like hell for quite some time so I can only imagine what she must be feeling.

heated seat and grips mmm ...hands are toasty in fact grips are too hot they cook but seat ... well stealers want 5000 rand to put a new heated seat in as they cant be repaired, heck even tyre pressure valves cost over 4000 for 2 , now battery developed a fault so another 2500 meh this is gonna be a quickie love affair with BMW at this rate cause they gonna bankrupt me.

Tyre pressure sensors just need new batteries 99% of the time. Google a bit and you'll see it is not difficult to do at all. And why can't you buy your own battery and have them fit it? Do you let them replace brake pads at R1000 a pop too when they can be bought for like R200?
