C-thru makes it blow off all the time everywhere. In fact it makes it never be a problem at all.
You can stand dead still and never need to wipe anything.
Use it on your car too, you almost never need wipers then.

Apparently a potato works just as well
Besides, can you eat C-Thru when the hunger pangs strike?
I would imagine the potato wouldn't be as clear and leave a bit of a haze.
But then I have a proper product already so not going to test it. :O

But good job finding it so I know I don’t need to test it and rather keep making chips from my potato.
As for the polishing...I can quite honestly say dropping mine on the dishwasher (without the pin lock) is the best hack I ever found.
I think there is just enough abrasion in there to polish it cleanly without damaging it. Took a chance doing it when I was at my wits end and ready to replace it and to my surprise it worked wonders.
Failing that Brasso was next on my list but never needed to try it.

There is a good reason I don’t have a Shark any more and returned it after a big fight to go back to Shoei.
The support was appalling.

Then likely you put it on the inside which is where the problem arises from.
Also, get a pinlock. It’s life changing.

I had a different experience, the visor on my shark helmet broke at the clip where it attaches to the helmet. Motomate told me visors are not covered by warranty and that a pinlock is not reusable so I have to buy both.
Lucky a friend of mine refered me to the shark distributor, went in and they replaced my visor in 5 min no questions on whether it was dropped, all they wanted was the receipt and warranty card. They reused my old pin lock and replaced those circle goodies on the side of the helmet that the visor attaches to.
Seeing that I only had the helmet for 1.5 years I would have changed brands instead of buying a new visor if they didn't help me out.
An another note, Yamaha want to ship me a clutch cable from Japan for my '99 YZF600R, they say it is a part unique to the model, I refuse to believe this, as I have even jury rigged a YRB125 clutch cable for the 600 in the past, surely a part like this would be generic across say a R6 and FZR600? at least?

As for eating C-Thru, well... It's alcohol based AFAIK - So not sure about eating it but licking your visor could be fun
Yeah, everybody swears by them, but I have the built in sun shade and wear prescription glasses, so I just treat all three with the spray.

I haven’t ridden the newer models but I would strongly investigate Yamaha’s MT series if that’s the kind of thing you were looking at.
If you weren’t in Cape Town I would have said the Triumphs might be worth a look.

US bike journalist missing after taking CB1000R for test ride
Sacramento, California - A well-known US motoring journalist has not been seen for almost a week since taking a motorcycle for a test-drive in mountainous northern California, police and industry media said.
Davey Johnson, 44, from Sacramento, was testing a Honda CB1000R in the rugged and cold terrain for an article in Motorcyclist magazine.
But the bike was found at the weekend at a rest stop on Route 49, near Mokelumne Hill town, with helmet and folded gloves, according to police and the magazine Car and Driver.
Police also found Johnson's clothes, phone, laptop and wallet, neatly placed by a snow-fed creek nearby.
His last-known communication was a June 5 text to his girlfriend, multiple media outlets said. He had also texted a photo to a friend and said he was headed home to Sacramento, about 105 km from his bike and possessions.
