Ghetto = tears. Really wouldn't ride on anything where some ghetto mod has been done to the most critical handling component

Either change the wheels to be tubeless (big $$) or get TUbliss which is essentially a much smaller tube that is only there to hold the tyre to the wheel
 
If I were to put a shipment of those dynaplugs together would there be interest in a group buy?

Depending on the price I would be keen.

But I wonder if direct individual orders for such an item wouldn't be better as it should slip past customs etc.

Their shipping price is about $60 - so probably not worth doing it for individuals. I'm waiting to find out how much they can ship for $60 ;)

Wantitall stock them, but it's like R1200 for a unit that sells for $30 direct.

Oh okay you mean to see how many you can get away with for the flat rate.

So just got some more info from the manufacturer. For a group buy, they'll chuck in 15% discount off their list price.
Then it's about 20 dollars to ship several items to the aramex hub in new york.
Then around R100 per 500g to get it here (first 500G is R200). The pump weighs about 500g... Here being Joburg. Not sure how we'd manage getting stuff to other parts of the country...
Then vat/import duties etc, guessing 20%.

So based on that, if you're interested, PM me what you want and I'll see what I can put together.

Get a pump locally and buy a lighter/smaller dynaplug set? I'm really happy with mine (link), I'm sure there are others out there.

The dynaplug pump seems to be quite a bit smaller than that one.
Micro pump:
3.9”X3.62”X1.57”/10cmx9cmx4cm, 198grams

Fit a 12V point aftermarket? I know the guy I worked for did it on his Africa Twin at Honda.
