Got snookered by a lady who unexpectedly pulled away from a stop street at a T-junction :( Luckily I managed to swerve and brake enough that I didn't fall and the damage seems mostly cosmetic, but bleh, really don't want to be paying an excess right now
 
That sucks man.

I have been having good luck recently, haven't had anything odd happening, other than a taxi who did a lane change right in front of me. Luckily, my driving approach is founded on the principle that all taxis are willfully trying to kill me, so I anticipated it and escaped.

Weather in Jozi has been a little dodgy this morning. A very light (5 drops per minute) drizzle so all the crazies come out of the woodwork. Passed a ePos on his his phone, but when he realised that i was next to him he crapped himself and almost swerved into the pavement. Mind you, I do not ride like a d00s, I don't even rev my bike to warn people that i am next to them - so it was funny as faaaak to see his reaction
 
I witnessed a full-on car chase road rage with swerving into oncoming traffic and braking in front of the other car on Saturday. The guy came in from a slipway and didn't break or stop for oncoming cars. I assume the car the swerved to pass him hit the horn which sent this guy into full retard mode. I followed until all was clear since I had my camera rolling and really thought this guy was going to do something really stupid (luckily, he didn't) but never got close enough to get a proper look at the number plate.

Wearing the eazy-overs this morning it literally felt that I was wearing battle armour riding my trusty steed...

Any chance the bits can be fixed without involving insurance? Or direct third part claim maybe possible?

Old lady from the 'burbs ya.
I may do what I did last time, get the quote and then choose to fix what I want and leave the rest. Last time my insurer was confused with bikes since they don't have an authorised repair place for them so I got a payout instead. After which I decided to not fix some stuff, replace a few things with aftermarket goods, and repair just the must have via the dealer. Will see if they are still confused by bikes, think I'll go to Donford tomorrow morning. Just deciding Stellies or CT
 
That's awesome :D

Sold the Grom for a "traceable" profit, they're that in demand/scarce over here.
