Front tyre looks perfect still (2nd pic). Or am I missing something? 3rd pic is the rear which is the one I'm concerned about.

So with all due respect, which bike is the one to get? I like Kawasaki and Suzuki

If you buy from a dealer network (BMW, Honda etc), you have the dealer network to service it, fix it, honour the guarantee, fetch you when you're stuck next to the road.
If you buy from independent companies like Oom Sarel se Kawas then Oom Sarel se Kawas is going to service it, fix it, honour the guarantee, fetch you when you're stuck next to the road.

Personal preference as to how much peace of mind you really need...

That is going to depend on what you want to use it for. Simply commuting to work? Weekend fun? Some-time racer? All of the above?

Commuting to work and also weekend fun, but not on Sunday. Considering i am just under 6 feet tall, so a small bike won't do, like the pic posted earlier

Yeah sorry, ninja edit there. I meant the last pic. The prices you mentioned, are those for single tyre only? (rear) or for both? I'm assuming rear only.

But bottom line, I would replace that ASAP.

The price is for rear only, fitted. They want an additional R100 for balancing. Haven't noticed any vibes but maybe it's worth doing?

I like the above Seems like in the future I will have to buy Oom Sarel's Kawa's , as this poor soul won't be able to afford a bike from a dealer.

Bru. It's a 250, it's all about weight saving, don't come with your obese suggestions! Now if you'd said racing glow in the dark valve caps, I might have been willing to listen.

Yeah, sounds like a plan, but right now i am just leading up to setting myself a goal and when the time is right I will make that move. Still would like to know percentage wise across the board, what make in bike is preference? Especially those who drive them daily.

Eg: Suzuki = ?? %
Kawasaki = ?? %
Yamaha = ?? %
Honda = ?? %

Yea, would be cheaper to just pay the R100 and get it done here, than riding there and back. It would take 2/3 of a tank

I'd throw in the 100 bucks and call it a day, tbh (assuming you don't get a [much] better deal elsewhere, I'm not clued up on tyre prices).

Why? I started out on a GSX-R750
Is that the 600 or 750? Doesn't matter really, same thing, just a bigger engine anyway.
But, apparently, that's not good advice to give a beginner, or so I'm told. :erm:

How far do you ride? It's all academic until you actually ride a bike, but you may enjoy something like a Triumph Street Triple or one of the other naked bikes. They're more upright which is far more comfortable if you are spending a lot of time on the bike. Even my 30 minute commute in the morning gets a little tiresome, especially if I have my laptop on my back.
