My NC is 2.5/2.9 - and it's written on the chain guard and in the manual, maybe check there?

Sounds fine to me.

Worst case check the tyre manufacturer website.

Mine is 2.9 R / 2.6 F

I actually run it 2.7 on the front.

Are you worried the recommendation is too high or too low?

Agree, sounds about right... I adjust depending on the type of riding... Road I go about 2.5 (F) and 2.8 (R). Gravel / Rocky 1.6 (F) and 1.9 (R)... Sand you can go lower, depends on the type of tyre though.

Too high. The tyres are rather thin so scared the high pressure may cost me some needed traction.

I mailed the guy asking for the manual though, but if you guys reckon it sounds fine it probably is. The sales guy seems to know his stuff so that is probably what he said then.

It's road, commuting....nothing earth shattering. Maybe a pothole one in a while - like this morning. Shat myself for a split second. Luckily it was a small one but when I saw it I was over it...

Nah if anything I would think the front is still too soft.

But you can feel these things so adjust according .1 bar at a time.

Your weight and suspension setup also play a role in all of it.
 
I think I'm supposed to be at 2.4F and 2.7R, but run .3 bar higher on the road. Worked fine for the last 250,000km for my dad, I'm sure it'll be fine for me.

In other news, my insurance paid out, bike will go in on the 15th for repairs (ie part replacement). What is odd is that without asking my insurance is going to try get the excess back and pay it to me. I always thought they probably do that in the background as often as possible and only begrudgingly pay back your excess if you hound them for it.

Ultimately depends on the particular accident and how black and white the guilt factor is for either party really.

Usually the need to chase them is only when it's not a black and white case of whose fault it is.

Like someone driving into the back of you, pretty simple to get the excess back from that in most cases.

Or if your car was parked and you weren't even inside it.
