Hello fellow bikers. I want to buy those yellow headlight covers for my bike (Kawasaki Ninja 400 (2018)). Any ideas where I can buy it in SA?

Online, I could only find it on AliExpress without any reviews so don't want to take a chance.

If you can’t come right at a Kawasaki dealership then I’m afraid the lower volume model is an issue and importing is probably your only bet.

Have a look on Banggood as well. Should take about 20 days to get here.

war eagle will make one custom at a great price if they dont already do them standard.

As for the polishing...I can quite honestly say dropping mine on the dishwasher (without the pin lock) is the best hack I ever found.

I think there is just enough abrasion in there to polish it cleanly without damaging it. Took a chance doing it when I was at my wits end and ready to replace it and to my surprise it worked wonders.

Failing that Brasso was next on my list but never needed to try it.

Thanks for this. Dishwasher worked wonders.

Now I need to clean the pinlock thing properly.

Yeah.

I wouldn’t go an put a brand new visor in there but when it’s a few years old where hand cleaning simply isn’t going to do the job any more you’ve got nothing to lose.

There is an RD250 for sale near were I stay. The owner does want a coooool R60k for it, but it was rebuilt, the YVPS does still work, and the engine has not been ported in anyway, it does also have an aftermarket exhaust.
 
do we have some of the 4 pot 250's from the 90's like the CBR 250RR or Kawasaki zxr250 available in our beloved country?

If so I wonder if they would still be good to own and if parts would be available.

I seem recall the CBR’s being here but not the Kawa.

But it’s been years since I’ve seen any of those bikes on the road.

A friend of mine owned a Kawa 250 4 banger. I owned a Bandit 250 4 banger.

Parts are extremely scarce, and often you need two bikes. One for spares, and a running bike.

I used to have a Suzuki Bandit 250 for a while too :p

EDIT: Carbs used to flood ALL the bloody time. It was one of the best sounding bike's I ever owned, and when it went, it was a great bike to ride but ja... Me and those carbs didn't get along too well. Especially if you kept it at over 160km/h over a long-ish distance.

Police also found Johnson's clothes, phone, laptop and wallet, neatly placed by a snow-fed creek nearby.

His last-known communication was a June 5 text to his girlfriend, multiple media outlets said. He had also texted a photo to a friend and said he was headed home to Sacramento, about 105 km from his bike and possessions.

Mine gave me constant diagram issues. Changed the carbs to a set of 400cc carbs and jetted accordingly.....i had absolutely sod all torque below 7500rpm, but once it was going it would potter about at 5000rpm in third without any hassle, while the std carbs would have flooded the bike

What would you do when it floods? To get it going again? I'm too young to know these things.
