Telkom and everybody else is over-charging us.
Neotel seems to have decided to offer packages that are just a bit better than the competition.
But that doesn't mean those packages bring us anywhere closer to a "good" internet experience, let alone an "internationally comparable" one.

This is their choice. My choice is to advise my family and friends to wait for a better deal.

If they didn't have a 24 month contract with dodgy hardware (IMHO) then they look better...but not by much

maybe I just hoped for too much.

You are part of the problem. Even if they are are only slightly better. It's still better. So if EVERYone goes to Neotel Telkom will catch a wake up.

By staying with Telkom even though you don't like their service telkom won't care because they still have you as a customer.

The more people stay with telkom, the more telkom will sit back and do nothing.

I disagree.
Rewarding Neotel just to get back at Telkom is not helping the situation.
Neotel needs to hear from everyone of us that their offering is not good enough, and they need to fix it.
If we reward them for an incomplete effort then what motivation do they have to actually try harder?

It is obvious Neotel does not attach any real value to Neotel-Neotel calls.

The freebie SMS's are included to get you addicted to sending SMS's from Neotel - and most hopefully you will start sending Neotel- VC/MTN/CellC SMS's as well for which you will be billed.

I don't work for Neotel. It's it infuriates that you guys just complain about everything. Look at the positives for heavens sake.

The more people support them, the more pressure is put onto telkom. You can't expect the world yet do nothing to help.

A good question to ask would have been whether you get a static ip or not.

unshaped doesnt mean it does or doesnt support p2p! It would appear you don't understand what unshaped really mean!
