New Webafrica Network Migration

This change reminds me on crystal web when they changed to one network nothing works and the speed was much lower then before
And nobody is answering problem over the weekend
 
This is OBJECTIVELY worse performing than when you were on the IS network, and no, I don't care about what SpeedTest shows because that's an artificial test anyway, I care about how things perform in actuality. Netflix streaming quality poor, buffering or running at very low quality when it used to run at 4K fine, iTunes streaming quality poor, buffering when it used to stream instantly and perfectly at 4K, Twitch streaming constantly buffers unless you're at a lower bitrate, used to stream perfectly at 1080p60 before.

Everything other than straight downloading performs worse. I'm paying 3 grand a month for 200mbit fiber from you guys and this is the quality I get? **** right off. I'll be switching to another ISP immediately.

If you cannot meet NOR exceed the performance you had before, then you have no place busy doing your own network, and certainly no place unilaterally downgrading something I pay a lot of money for.

Crazy slow this morning, 100Mbps line and getting 1Mbps download for an Xbox update. Websites struggling to open. Speed test shows 79Mbps download. Just finalising my comparisons.

What connectivity (e.g. Fibre 10Mbps up 1Mbps down) and via which provider (e.g. Vumatel)?

I chatted to WA earlier and they informed me that their Usenet service is discontinued. They could not answer why users were not notified. Despite terminating the Usenet service without informing users, they still demand a calendar months notice to terminate their service. It irritates me when a company changes their product, removing benefits which were originally sold to the customer. Afrihost have a News server and I will start making my way over to them.

So you on vumatel 100/100 or 100/10 ?
Also what area?

It may be your line, or it may be that region.

thanks, very nice, you can also try the handover point speedtest in shop.vuma to help troubleshoot your speed issue.
 
Hi its still about Twice as best as before ( like 12Mbps before versus 44Mbps now) its like you guys are throttling international still. How can other IPS afford to customers almost full speed international. here you only give me half the speed. I am on a 100/50 fiber package.

Hi, Thanks for responding. I don't see them on Vuma's page. They are listed as an ISP, but no packages. I do not want to go to Telkom. Does Cool Ideas have their own news server ?

Have no idea with about cool ideas sorry. You might want to rather invest in a premium usenet server. See if you can save R120 or so on your internet and then get a premium usenet server. Fastusenet.org is about R100 per month no speed restriction so a premium usenet is actually worth it.
