Actually it sounds like the new Telkom ASSIA systems automatically regraded your line down. ISPs no longer have the option to resync and regrade lines to new speed profiles - all requests now go via Telkom. So we are at the end of the day at their liberty. They have in turn implemented ASSIA which automatically regrades the line's speeds to what the system believes is the best sync rate for your line stats.

If it has been reported by us and the latest feedback is we're awaiting Telkom's confirmation of what is going on, then I can follow up for you (which we do with line related issues) but we're now 100% at their liberty relating to line regrades. I will dig into this and get back to you.

What a bunch of fscking retards I'm so fscking tired being hamstrung by fscks like these at every turn. Good god, perhaps we should apply public beheadings.

Telkom's new system can be a little frustrating right now. Should get better as the weeks go by though.

A little frustrating? I'm the d00s paying for something, but every few days it resets leaving me with less than I'm paying for. Of course I'm going to be annoyed seeing money doesn't grown my back and I already have to work two jobs...

Of course nothing I really can do about this and just strap myself in for the ride.

I will see if we can get it syncing back to where it should be for you. Normally ISPs can't really do this any longer but I will personally try.

Cool, *if* it doesn't work we can always pick it up tomorrow with telkom.

Someone should probably have better thought out their parameters of detection. The only thing that did happen was I unplugged before I went to silverstar and when I plugged back in it was magically on half sync as what it was before. I'll take a good bet that this is what happened the previous time.

Line was running good without anything worrying except the prospect of being downgraded having myself check each morning which of course happened again.

Second night in a row that my torrents are only hitting 50kb/s on a 4mb uncapped unshaped account. Seriously, wtf! Is this what I pay R689 p/m for?

it's on your side mate, mine are clocking line speed.

also for IS unshaped uncapped that's **** cheap

I'v had Telkom check. Everything is fine on my side apparently. But just because your side is working on CW doesn't mean that my side is.

test it then, grab some accounts from Web Africa, Axxess, Afrihost or grab a Crystal Web 1GB test account.

also where are you sourcing torrents from? public trackers are ****
