Can this also be cause of general slow browsing for certain items / sites?
I hope so, because that's what I'm having too - slow browsing on certain sites. If that's the cause, then at least I know a fix is on the way.

This is the host that I've been using since May/June; so i'm assuming it hasn't changed then?
No but maybe flush your DNS cache? In cmd: ipconfig /flushdns
It could be that you're still pointed to an old IP (just guessing here).

Interesting...

I'm struggling to set up SABnzb for the newshost, as it just pings out for me.

Host = news.crystalweb.com
Port = 563
Username = crystalweb*****@news.crystalweb.co.za
Password = *
Connections = 13 (Only because I saw Crystal Web using this)
SSL = Y

What am I doing wrong?

Heh, do this on a weekly basis as part of a maintenance job I run.

Seeing some improvement on NNTP tonight, up from 40-60KB/s to 120 - 210KB/s with intermittent spikes at 300.
