DFA? I know there's a DFA line either planned or already run in, along the outskirts of town that might be accessible near Fountains. If you know how to get fiber in Jbay, I'd seriously like to know.

DFA - Haha, They'll tell you to run a mile, They will only deal with large corporates such as Vodacom, MTN, Telkom and the likes.

Has to be the worst company to get anything out of, Neotel is easier and that's saying something!
 
The perks of living in a small town, the power never gets load shedded, makes no difference to the power grid... xD

The only time the power goes off here is when they steal the power cables.

Shew, I went back and checked incase I missed something, but nope, only twice daily for me.

I doubt they would shed past 10pm anyway tho.
 
It should be noted that Telkom have issued two important network notices:

1) load shedding is apparently causing trouble with their network as numerous areas suffer from lower throughput or downtime once batteries and standby power are exhausted
2) Telkom plan to perform upgrades to their infrastructure from 22:00 this evening which may cause loss of connectivity and/or throughput troubles. No update has been sent that this may be delayed because of the loadshedding (which we suspect it may) but we therefore have to work on the basis that this is still planned and will be going ahead.

Lol

Same schedule yesterday and you are right, they didn't run the last one.

It is still a pain though. Still have to switch off the electronics, just in case.

I don't bother, I have them running off a pair of ups's, besides, they're insured and would like a new TV or DSTV Explorer :D

Gateway is on the same block that we're on, The amount of money that shopping center looses, I mean the whole center was off from 2 - 4:30 and 6 - 8:30 yesterday.

Leading up to christmas, That is not good especially with all the holiday makers down from JHB :erm:
