Does CW offer trial accounts? I'm "between" ISP's, i.e. I'm tired of abuse notices for streaming and would like to test drive CW. Anyone using lots of Netflix, Hulu, etc. using CW? Your experience? I'm on a 4mb line

Netflix is fantastic, and pretty much unlimited.
This account is a streamer's delight.
 
Am I the only one having issues? I've been running at around 1.5mbps on my 4mbps account for the last 3 days. When I pop in my Afrihost or WA account, I get full line speed. What's going on? :(

But yes, streaming on CW is top notch. They encourage it and even prefer you to stream rather than torrent ^^
 
My account is horrible at the moment. Had a chat with support last night. They told me that a call will be logged so that their senior engineers can have a look at it.
I don't know whether it's maybe just a routing issue where CW routes via an exchange that's screwed, but compared to WA, my CW account is pathetic:

Since wiziwig closed doors, I signed up with NTV.mx and am on my second month. Experience so far has been superb. Was watching super rugby on one of the hd trial channels and was excellent.

Highly recommended.
 
Anyone with NNTP issues for the last week?

I've been away for the last week or so and have had a few opportunities to remote into my download box to make sure scheduled downloads are continuing. I see that regardless of the time started NNTP downloads came down at an average of 50% to 75% line speed.

I'm now back home, with an NNTP download running that is sitting at under 50%. My usage for the month is under 50gb so I doubt it's usage related.

EDIT: Torrents do not appear to be fairing much better.

I'm currently getting 50KB/s. Mine usually pick-up speed from about 02:00. I would then get 50 - 75% of my line speed. If downloads come in between 04:00 - 05:00, they normally download at line speed.

I don't think there is something wrong.
I think it is how the shaping is implemented.

Did the newsserver settings change recently? In Grabbit I'm getting:

502: invalid username or password provided

Hmm, did I miss the boat at some point? What happened to 100gb totally unshaped before shaping applies?

EDIT: Torrents running at 25%...on a Saturday morning :wtf:
