Wish cw had smaller packages :/ would love to join them but even the 90gb capped is bit to much..60gb would be the sweet spot

How on earth does someone not use more than 60GB in a month? I can't get through even one month with 100GB and that's just on my own.

Mostly gaming and streaming and some movie/series downloads

In our house, me, two sons and the wife, all gaming, internet, programming stuff, streaming ...... and the wife on social media while husband mybb's.
Total cost - around 400Gb each month and there is always someone awake doing something online.

Feel free to flame me - call me a torrent whore or whatever .... couldnt really give a hoot to be honest.

Speaking of which ... what would the best option on CW for this?

Try changing your DNS to the Google one, I usually find that game updates that use clients work better with that.

For the guys with capped, how do you guys schedule your FTP downloads between 12pm and 6am?

Okay, starting them is no problem, I mean terminating/pausing them before 6am, without getting up with the sparrows.

Most FTP clients I have seen don't have a scheduled pause function.

I use Sickbeard to find nzb's coupled to SABnzbd - SABnzbd has a scheduler that you setup from 00:01 - 05:59 then pauses til midnight again..

Sounds like a caching problem on our side. It's possible the cache download corrupted for some reason. Switching DNS may route the file off our cache and to the source instead.

I'll ask for that to be looked into, but it should actually resolve itself fairly quickly as it will cache the file again soon.

I was with AH as well. Should have moved a lot sooner.

Every issue I had on AH disappeared when I moved to CW. Every. Single. One.

Nuff said.

Yea, Was with afrihost since 2008.

Towards the end of my relationship with Afrihost - I experienced severe packet loss, High Latency and Low speeds. They blamed this on exchange congestion (40Mbps Line, syncs perfectly and on an ISAM)

Moved to Crystal Web - 0 Packet loss, latency was 9ms on my second hop and my download speeds are 34/35mbps.

I can stream pretty much anything without a hitch, my brother games' and has no problems whatsoever since we moved, and I download torrents/nntp between 12am and 6am.

It just works IMHO.
