Hi guys, i have a problem with my connection, my line is a 4Meg and has been working fine for months but then i had problems recently which Telkom resolved by pulling in a new cable. Stats are now back to normal but sometimes the modem connects at lower speeds (sometimes 640k) but when i restart it connects fine at 4Megs with good snr starts. Now i just remembered seeing something on the forums about certain modulation settings which could potentially affect line speed. So please see my attached modulation settings and advise what i should turn off to achieve the best sync speeds consistently. Or could the problem be at my exchange?? Thanks


Edit: when i pick up the phone the dial tone is clean & clear , no crackling or funny noises like what i was getting on my last fault before they pulled in a new wire

To add, here are my current stats. So not sure why sometimes it just syncs at 640kbps

Select only ADSL2+
 
Yup, this is now becoming a daily thing. Hit 5pm or somewhere around it and buffer buffer buffer.

Anyone else noticed that the CW rep has not been in this thread for a few days?
 
Had a couple of DC's on Destiny PS4 last night also between 23:00 - 02:00.

Latency was generally good then spiked just before the discontents. At one stage the game lagged so bad it was though I was 5-10 seconds behind what was happening in the game.

I have a similar problem, never get even half of my 2Mb/s full speed, always slow, even overnight.

Now I can't stream **** all on Youtube, buffering on 240p.

Sounds like there's more to that than just a ISP problem.
 
We've gone fm the isp offering support to the other users... Can anyone remember digi chilly/or similar? Swak for the #1 isp, here we go again
