I'm in Durban. Streamed the whole thing without issue.
Rather wish there were issues, it was beyond ****. Sis.
ohwas using Apple TV to stream it.
With you 100% there - would also really like to know if this is going to be a regular thing and if not, why not. Premium price but for the same connection quality as AH is not what I signed up for. Having said that, though - yes, before the IPC issue started the connection quality was absolutely amazing. But we do need official word from CW as to why this keeps happening in the Cape, and some kind of assurances for the future.Good morning
I would like to throw my thoughts out on this IPC capacity issue and sorry if I sound like a moaner but I would love to understand how IPC capacity always has an issue at the Cape Town area?
Maybe someone can explain to me as it seems whatever Afrihost still has not been able to fix has now passed over to Crystal Web which I thought would never happen.
I always thought Afrihost had this issue due to compromising their network for lower prices to the public, but obviously with Crystal Web I paid a lot more and expected this never to be an issue.
Please someone shed light on this for me, I am starting to get very frustrated with this issue.
I must mention that the one month that I used Crystal Web and they did not have IPC issues it was by far the best experience I had but if this IPC issue starts popping up at an ISP which I pay more money to avoid latency and buffering issues it becomes a big problem.

Provisioning IPC is not only reliant on Telkom... the other company also has to create capacity for the additional IPC. So unless told differently, it is both parties causing the delay. Then, at least in AH's case, a lack of capacity planning and ridiculously slow turnaround times from Telkom when upgrading IPC capacity result in many months of terrible experience for users.
Personally, if I were a completely new user to CW, I doubt I'd still be here. I tested a capped account a long time ago, and have followed this thread for a long while. But seeing as I signed up on the 1st, if I didn't have this background, never knew this thread existed and this IPC issue was causing this sub standard performance, I'd have already cancelled.
As it is, these delays don't look promising, and I'm glad this is happening at the beginning of the month before the 19th, because I have a feeling (again, I'd love to be proved wrong) we're going to hear about another delay at the end of this week. (flashbacks to Afrihost)
