Official Meizu M2 Note thread

I thought that was always the case?
Well I dunno, could be.. I haven't rooted many phones before. This one was the first though where the manufacturer actually provided the option for granting root access.

I figured that perhaps for that reason it downloads the entire "ROM" because they can't be sure what I might've changed on the system.

I'm just speculating here though..

Why do you guys think Meizu removed Volte from Android 5.1 support?

When you dial *#*#4636#*#* there is supposed to be a VoLTE flag there, but on the meizu it is missing. Why?

Ockie, others - do you have a list or do you remember, what you uninstalled from your Note?

Did not unintsall anything. The Flyme international firmware came with google services installed and the phone came with some theme thing, but that got removed in the latest firmware update. Other than that there is no apps that I removed.

Ok, same as me at the moment. There are a couple of apps that use services I'd like to get rid off (music and videos for starters). Phone shouldn't be using 600-700mb of memory while doing nothing. Will do some googling to see what breaks if I remove them.

Mine uses 1.3GB memory and has 560m RAM free. My performance of the phone is not affected. It is snappy.

:(, shut your face. I get slowness task-switching and sometimes the browser (Chrome) responds slowly.

Have any of you experienced WiFi issues with this phone? Not being able to connect or losing connection after a certain time?

I have started using two sims now in my M2 Note. Previously only used my one Telkom sim which I had ported my Vodacom number onto. I have now ported back to Vodacom. My old Vodacom number for voice ported to Vodacom prepaid and took out a new Vodacom 2gig contract to use in the second sim slot for the phone's data needs. I was worried that the battery will take a big knock with two sims running on it, but it almost seems like the battery life has improved. The voice sim only has 2G connection (full signal) and the data sim full 4G signal. Not sure if it is due to the signal on Vodacom being better or if it has something to do with Vodacom using FD-LTE as opposed to Telkom's TD-LTE network. A bit early, but that is my impression so far.

Glad to see the phone handles two sim cards very well. I have never used a dual sim phone before the M2 Note.
