Is the lapdock available in SA? Would it be worth it or is it a bit of a gimmick?

Friend of mine got the Atrix soon after I got my Razr, we tested the Webtop OS on his phone using the dock (the Atrix comes with ALL the accessories) and it was a cool concept, but honestly seems a little sluggish and low-res for my liking

The guy at Vodashop said overnight, but some people say that can damage the battery. The manual has a pic saying 3 hours under getting started...Do I listen to Vodacom or the manual?
