Just cut your old sim into micro dimensions. I'm using a trimmed regular sim in my 4S.

Lots of diagrams and instructions on the interweb to help you.

It is easy. Go to store with ID...request micro sim...they do it on the system and two hours later your number will be on the new sim. The delay of two hours is intentional for security reasons. Will cost you about R60.00 on Vodacom SP.

I would prefer the proper micro sim as apposed to cutting my own one....but thats just me.

Cant wait to get my RAZR. grrrrrrrrr

I haven't quite felt the need.
Gonna wait for ota ics but that will take a few weeks.

Well they can just clip it for you instore with one of those clipper things, takes seconds
 
So what's the first thing one should do with their new toy?
 
Im finally getting to play with my new toy. I must say i'm loving it!!

I just can't seem to get whatsapp to recognize any of my contacts, even though they're in my contact list. My contacts have synched with Facebook like they used to on my Desire, but nothing shows up under whatsapp. Any ideas?
 
In Hyde Park the vodashop borrowed mtns template to clip mine, don't see why I need to keep my sim unclipped

I chopped up my own, got a friend to borrow me his microsim, traced arounded it with a pen onto my sim, got a part of scissors and snip snip....done in 2min.

And yes my Razr is 2.3.6 and rooted, only thing missing now is ICS :D

Are your contacts stored on the phone or sim?
 
My phone said it has a critical system update, it's like 192mb or something. It's busy downloading it over the WIFI now. I guess I'll figure out how to make Whatsapp work after that.
 
Mine did the update on Friday. Was wondering why it took so long... :D 192MB will do that. ;)

I just received a memo stating that we are NOT to cut customers sims for them or encourage them to do so themselves as due to the error rate in this. It can cause problems like dropped calls or loss of connectivity. I guess this refers to if the sim is a tad bit too small and it can shift around inside the phone.
 
I'm still fighting with WhatsApp...Other than that I'm really happy with it, it works like a charm!!
