Is anyone else having trouble with intermittent browsing issues? A lot of my webpages keep timing out and then loading upon refresh. I'm trying to figure out if it's a problem with the account or on my side.

International seems a bit slow, getting around 80kb/s, but local browsing seems fine.

Seeing much more reasonable speeds with my 4meg gold today. Am able to browse most things normally! Gmail is still a little iffy, and youtube is a no-go, but I'm relatively happy otherwise!

Any theories as to how bad the "not so much" would be, compared to a 2mb gold? (I realise it's thumb-sucking, but semi-informed opinions are welcome)

I'm secretly hoping it'll be the same during the day, and faster after hours.

How do you guys manage your 1 GB free account from afrihost and your normal OW account. Do you just change your log in details on your modem every time ? Nice to have backup

I have a dial-up set up in the Network & Sharing Centre.

When I know OW is broken, I'll change the router setting to see if it is not a network issue.

Yep. And it is nice to have the backup for diagnostic purposes and for enmergency.

Yup, I just changed it on the modem. Cut/Paste makes life easier.

I downgraded from the 2 mb Gamers to the 2 mb Titan effective 1 February will be interesting to see how they compare both being a 2 mb package.

I must say that my OpenWeb account has been performing great for the past 3 months. I was looking at cancelling my service this month due to financial constraints but I've decide to cut corners elsewhere and remain with OpenWeb for the foreseeable future. This is the longest that I have been with any other ISP

yeah that's what i thought too... weird that it starts on a weekend...

an update on my issue from Sunday - monitored yesterday and traceroutes didn't indicate any issues... downloads stabilised in the evening, but strangly my ping on BF4 used to be ~33 to most servers, its now down to ~12ms...

So i'm not sure what happened, maybe some peering change?? nonetheless, seems positive overall
