my internet died at 7pm & i havent been able to access anything, restarted my router & pc & still nothing. strange thing is that skype works but nothing else
i logged at ticket with openweb but havent heard anything back from them yet, they were so much faster on new years eve!
what is the point of having a gold account if i cant even play online games???? super slow
yes they will reset my port , works for a few days... and then back to the slowness....sigh
openweb has been good so far , but im starting to doubt here.....
Over subscribed perhaps?
Is anyone else experiencing NNTP speed issues/shaping. The is.newshost.co.za and another non-local host are basically non-existent when it comes to speed. This is the second time in a week there is this issue.
I previously logged a ticket the first time and then it came right with a response that a ticket will be logged with the uplink provider.
Using is.newshost.co.za is half the reason I'm with Openweb or I could find cheaper alternatives elsewhere.
ye thanks mr beep, everything working fine now, must have been the exchange.
There are no issues with the IS news server currently.
Kindly try: news.is.co.za

Ok let me show you what I pay for.You get what you pay for in the end.
I'm on an IS account too and my daytime speed is fine.
Also out of interest sake, most of you would know, buying an IS based account from Plugg for example, allow 2 concurrent connections, where as Openweb advertises only 1 is allowed, also on the IS network?
