Hi there.
First time poster here. Have been having some problems with my "1Mbps Standard Uncapped Special" account and was told by a friend that you guys could maybe help me out.
So as i said I purchased a Openweb "1Mbps Standard Uncapped Special" account about three months back and it has been working alright with the exception of the first of every month when it slows to an absolute crawl. This while annoying was nothing too concerning and i was content simply to ignore it.
However since the beginning of this month to present the speed has dropped ridiculously low. I'm now struggling to simply check my mail (you don't want to know how long it took me to post this). Used SpeedTest today and this was the result:
Is there any reason for this? Is there a way to rectify it? I have really enjoyed my past Openweb experiences and it would be a shame to be forced to switch providers...
Still completely unable to download via torrents on SAIX.
Any faults on VB?
Gosh I lol'ed at this.
just reading the last few posts, since my original one, seems that i am not the only one experiencing the slowness on openweb account?
i have spent time and money on a new asus adsl modem wireless router, no help, telkom no help, speedtests etc....
Is it just me? or is my impression i am forming on this thread, that more and more people are having slow access, slow internet, slow torrents etc on these accounts?
i am always amazed that tech support always says the test accounts are blazing away etc...but if that is so, then why do the users come here to list there issues?
guess i just dont understand, and i am sure there are going to be a few replies now stating its your line, its telkom, its your Qos settings, its the cat....
thing is, i moved to openweb, and it DID BLAZE AWAY...now its like a patient on life support.
