I've tried various DNS options. I'm on Openweb Gold IS backbone.

Edited: Rebooted router and all is well...

i'm also crawling... not getting much joy out of some international, if anything takes long to load... and torrents not going faster then 15k on my 4meg...

Something is up on the IS backbone tonight. I'm getting full line speed for local but only 24kb/s for international on a 1 Meg line.

Last day with uncapped and it wasn't the best, this is probably due to high demand and it being the last day of the month :p.

Anyone else struggling on the VB backbone? Unable to connect to local game servers.

Just want to add that it has been a pleasure being on OW Gold 4MB Uncapped and i got everybit of monies worth. Top notch service from MrBeep and not to mention the awesome community members here to keep you fustrated or entertained hehe.

This month i have done 794GB Down & 26.5GB Up. No complaints at all :).

In addition to above usage, Youtube is a pleasure streaming 1080p but only when she wants to satisfy fully :D, browsing has been great however :).

Last thing to add, if you have a friend or whomever wanting an uncapped connection for speed and gaming, then don't even think twice and just do an EFT to MrBeep :D.

Am sad it is my last day of uncapped but i will be sure to return in the New Year and with it perhaps a 10MB line :). "looks at StoneCold" :p

Just started on OpenWeb Gold 4mbit today (left Afrihost's pathetic uncapped service). Haven't tested anything out intensively but I have to say it's nice to be able to actually stream youtube again without having to wait ages for buffering.

Well everything back to normal. Must have been the end of the month salty cracks that was the problem.

Today is my first day on Openweb gold 1mb.
Is there a reason why it says WebAfrica as my ISP?

Also why are my torrents so slow? I am getting speeds of 10kb/s. Is the shaping always this bad? I also could not connect to the EA servers with the openweb account but it was fine with telkom.

Lol...that is interesting. Are you sure you plugged the right adsl details into your router?
No reason you should experience such slow speeds.Just email Mr Beep at [email protected] and he will sort you out

I honestly have no idea what is happening. When I use speedtest it says I am using WebAfrica. When I send an email I have to insert a telkom smtp server. All this despite resetting and rebooting my router (TP-Link) a few times and always inserting my new openweb username and password.
I do not even have a currently active WebAfrica account.

Just tried one now. I can at least log on to the Fifa servers with it which is an improvement. Torrent is at 10-15 kb/s. Is that what it should be? Will let you know about the next one.
