You think he was any good last year?
He hasn't done much since BEFORE our last England tour, which was looong ago.
And he did get dropped, with good reason.
I haven't seen him bowl for a long time now, will be interesting to see how he goes. Can't be worse that Andre Nel from what I saw last night.
He did have problems and remember he is still very young but he has the makings of a true great fastbowler. We will just have to wait and see if he lives up to the potential.

Why are teams picked so far in advance? Take Puttick, for instance, a century last night and say he makes another later in the week. He will not get picked as the team is fixed. Its absolutely demoralising. There is no motivation for the players (non Proteas) in the 40 over game at the moment as they are out no matter what
If you keep up your form you will eventually get picked. Puttick has struggled for the last few seasons. Lets see if he can keep this form going.
Smith get's injured in a ODI, they'll more than likely pick Amla, if Amla gets injured, they'll probably pick Mackenzie, if he gets injured, Puttick is in with a shot. Although they may pick Bodi.
