One more front like the last one should just about remove all reason for the restrictions! And there is one on the way!

this last bit of rain has not been terribly decent to be honest, tomorrow looks a tad better @ Jonkershoek.
Looks like something more substantial on the brew for mon/tue next week?

Yeah, there's no way one more good front is going to bring an extra 20% to our dams. Maybe 2 or 3%.

Whatever you bastsrds are cooking up down there doesn't look like much fun for us up in Gauteng

Unfortunately, the front sort of petered out after looking very promising in early forecasts. But there are a few more in the making

.

This rather low key front resulted in very good rains in cape mountains in the last 24 hours! Slow moving and loaded with moisture!

Very Good rains measured at Dwarsberg (47.75 mm); Constantiaberg (18.29mm); Cederberg (38.354mm) at midnight (2018-09-09 : 00:00). Not so dramatic so far today. (Could be due to the freezing conditions and snowfalls).

The authorities will have to pump faster! How can they allow all this rain go to waste!

The Berg River Dam level has been dropping for several weeks. At 300Ml/day they are barely keeping up with the late-season rains.

The poor fishes need some water too! Actually, there is a mandatory minimum release into the river (7Ml/day AFAIK).

Edit for @Geoff.D: The Voelvlei dam level is ready daily by CoCT: http://www.capetown.gov.za/Family a...and-sanitation-services/this-weeks-dam-levels

Tom Brown's weekly report puts Voelvlei at 81.1% Wonder how much of the increase is due to water pumped from the Berg River system?

Where is he accessing his data from? And why can't that data source be used to supply DWS with data?
All this starter earlier in the year with erratic data info on the DWS database.
