This was the temperature in the caddy just now, so I'll easily believe it's snowing on table mountain, it really is very cold.

Oh we believe you! My sister has been keeping me posted. Meanwhile, we are sweltering in PTA east at 34 degree.
 
More relatively good rains recorded over the mountains, from the Cederberg to Constantiaberg.

Should see some more good runoff into the dams and another good increase in levels!
Really good news for the cape.

Good runoff during the last few days (Fri 21st) with average CoCT levels up 3.2% in 4 days to 73.2%: http://www.capetown.gov.za/Family a...and-sanitation-services/this-weeks-dam-levels

Berg River dam is full, Voelvlei is up 5.2% to 88.9%, Theewaterskloof up 2.9% to 55.4%.

Weather looks mostly dry for the foreseeable future...
 
Yes unfortunately, the South Atlantic High is not moving except to ridge in over the southern part of the country.
The AAO index was extremely positive for many days. The index turned back but did not go neagtive ans started moving positive again.
 
Apparently the sluices at the Clanwilliam dam have had to be opened as the dam is at capacity. Excellent news for that region!
 
Any reason why they stopped releasing water quality measurements? I noticed a steady decline in the water quality...but the last recording was in July?
 
I was surprised this morning to see both my tanks overflowing into the pool and the pool almost overflowing.

The Berg River Dam is overflowing again, more strongly this time (100.2% on Fri 28th) after last night's inflows. Edit: Very wet in Kenilworth and Rondebosch, particularly from orographic rain near the mountains. 34mm in gauge yesterday, and 38mm this morning!

When is it expected to make landfall? Next few days (according to my weather app at least) look pretty clear.

Early model runs (two days ago) were encouraging, but recent runs show nothing significant. The front will pass just south of CT, and has already brought a sharp change from the weekend sunshine.

A cutoff low later in the week over the Garden Route, Eastern Cape, KZN & Drakensberg has shown a similar weakening trend.

Limited total increase of 1.9% to 75.9% during the week to Mon 1st Oct, but Voelvlei continues to be the most astonishing: Up 3.6% to 95.0%, compared to 26.8% in the same week last year!

Edit: Response to @Rocco1 (below). Voelvlei is fed by the Little Berg River, which drains the Tulbagh Valley (west of Ceres and the Breede River), and that area has had very good rains this year...
