Router Battery Backup

I have a Mikrotik router, like this (mine might be an older model) : LINK
Will the Ratel 420P POE power it? I remember someone had issues earlier in this thread, something about POE routers and passive power.

Option 1:
Power just the routers plus TV (100 watts)

Option 2:
Power everything (230 watts)

Budget R5k? (can probably go higher, just feels like a lot of money to have internet for 2 hours a day)

i feel like the mecer bundle is honestly the best value for what you need, it will be around your budget and will be able to power everything plus a little extra.

Listen to the man. I tried making it work by powering one device with a powerbank, another with a Ratel UPS, another with a smaller UPS...in the end it took so much time and effort to manage everything I just said "f**k it" and bought a 1200VA inverter with battery and called it a day.

That mecer bundle does it stay online? (I don't want to run around unplugging stuff each time there is loadshedding)

Which one do I need?

Hi guys,

I have an ONT that's rated to 12V DC/0.5A, just wanted to know if it'll work fine with the Ratel 412 Micro DC-to-DC UPS. I'm in Cape Town so realistically it must only last the 2h30m load-shedding period here. Also how reliable is Sinetech with regards to deliveries to this side?

What is the best (cheapest) place in Cape Town to buy leisure batteries?

That is modified sine wave so won't work.
(it's sonoff, mikrotiks and rapsberry pi's so would not want to break them)
its pretty much almost pure sine wave, just advertised as modified. I have never killed anything with mecer 720watt, expensive pcs , tvs , cameras all run 100% and has been for years.

it does stay online. the devices you mention will be just fine imo

I don't drive - unless it's to pick up something I ordered from a catalog.

Anyone else with a website with decent prices in Cape Town?

you know when battery prices are too good to be real something seems like it would be off

The mikrotiks and rpi's won't care about modified sine. I'm not sure about the sonoff, but it should be fine.
