Take a look at www.mantech.co.za for separate plugs otherwise GeeWiz for CCTV power cables etc.

Here are two 1.75X4.0 mm DC power plugs but you need to check whether the centre pin will fit.

Will the Gizzu Work with a Ubiquiti USG and Openserve ONT? (Those splitter ports) I know it will work with my Ubuqiti AP Lite with POE. Just not sure if I will need to buy other splitter ports.And I am not sure about the Openserve ONT Voltage. So if someone has this setup or similar setup, advice is appreciated.
 
my backup network is a 430M with 2 extra banks of batteries connected to openserve ONT and a cheapo gigabit router (plan to replace but it works fine for now)
 
My newest Gizzu died. Just went pop... o_O
Did not do anything funny with it. It was connected to a low load TP-link router, nothing hectic.
Barely 2 days old.
 
For those interested in getting gigabit Poe from a Ratel, I bought the Switchcom 1G Poe from geewiz, connected it to the Ratel on a 12V DC and then connected the Poe to the device (Rain 5G) and the other to the lan. Rain 5G running smoothly at 1Gbps link speed

I have one of these injectors from an old TP-Link... wonder if it would work
 
Still looking for a cost-efficient way to power my Ubiquiti Switch8 60w 48v during loadshedding.

Have the ONT, router and Raspberry Pi running off two Gizzu's, so it's just the switch and 2 POE UniFi AP-AC Lites that need to be powered somehow.

u8 60w is 48v input so 2x12V batteries + booster to 48v

its efficient too since the PoE wont be converting the voltage much

I ordered the Ratel 430S from Communica. Must say, I got frequent updates on the courier which is very nice and paid a flat rate of R80 shipping for it to be delivered in a rural area in the Western Cape.

I got a power cable, a splitter and an extra piece of wire to connect it to a solar panel if need be. I didn't order a Solar Panel for now, just want to check if the Ratel 430S would work for my setup as previously discussed. Will let you guys know how it fares. Just want to know if I should get a regulator of some sort if/when I go the Solar route or can I just get a panel, wire it and plug it into the Ratel 430S?
