I got two seeing my ont is not close to the router and I'm not going to rewire/resetup that.

So one for the ont (+extra 12v dc 2amp power adapter for it) and one for the router. It's supposed to run at least 10 hours but I've only used 2 hours as per our loadshedding schedule.

Only con imho is the very short dc cable that comes with it. Otherwise I think it is good enough until I have done my inverter setup.

These cables go for R60.

Hi Guys

So I'm looking to power the following for at least 2 hours , preferably more for breathing room.

Asus Router + ONT	18 W / 12 V / 1.5A
Access point	12V 1A
Access point	12V 1A
Raspberry Pi 4b	5v 3amp 6.4w

The Raspberry Pi would be nice to have powered as well, but can be tricky to find a device for 5v and 3amp.

I've found these which seem to be suitable. Will get 2.

Need UPS. Was considering the Ratel 8100 but it’s sold out everywhere and my laptop is 130W so the 19V out won’t be useful to me anyway.

Any other options out there besides the 430M?

As I am also looking for the same options but looking for something similar like the Gizzu as the Gizzu has 2 Output options



I have a (WR7010v2-2.4G Dual-Band FTTH Wireless Router -N300 Wireless)
Power Source is - 5V DC/1A

and an ONT

A Vuma tell CPE - Raycon output 12V = 1A External adapter < 5.5watts

Most of this Forum goes around the 9V Router and 12 V CPE

If anyone else comes across something similar with more power please do let me know

So I bit the bullet and bought it...had a couple of important video calls last week and Ellies wasn't too far:

A lot smaller than I expected (still need to tidy up the cabling) -

Comes with two 1 meter DC-to-DC cables, a couple of adaptors (used one for the ONT and one for the router) and a 1 meter 2-pin charging cord at the back of the unit.
Time will tell how it holds up but so far so good.
The LEDs are super bright though.

How's it been working out so far? I just ordered one since it doesn't pay to run the generator just for WiFi during the day

They should say on the unit itself.

ONT would most likely be 12V, you can't use any other voltage.

That's inefficient, AC into DC and then out as AC again and then into DC for the devices to use.

I think this is also an option to your type of question that is a much better option than (AC into DC) - the below WIFI UPS has a voltage difference if you got a Router with a lower voltage as low as 5V and CPE that is 12V - if your Vuma box is a Raycore and these batteries in these units are more Designed for multiple recharging cycle

But Incredible Rip Off is out of Stock thou

I have no complaints thus far - has worked seamlessly during the load shedding. When we had 4 hours of power cuts, two lights were still lit on the battery gauge. The included adapters also made this a simple plug and play solution.

As a matter of interest, where did you order from? Doesn't seem to be listed on the Ellies website anymore and stock availability seems limited.

Is this a WIFI router with a battery ? So will this replace your existing router ? and then power other devices as well ?

Nono, it is a ups, for your (wifi) router that has multiple outputs, so can indeed power other devices too.
